MoN is a group of international gamers, programmers, artists, developers, and designers who enjoy playing and creating games. This group is known for being inclusive and having talented members. MoN was initially an acronym for Monks of Nexuiz.

MoN was created in by the founders: Abaddon, SoulKeeper_p, and tZork.

We are no longer active. We want to thank everyone who was involved. GG.

Abstract

MoN members have been involved in many (video game) software development projects for many years. Some of these projects were released. Below, one can find a small selection of these projects and read a brief description of each.

Xonotic

Did you enjoy iconic classic FPS games like Quake, Unreal Tournament, or perhaps other fast-paced FPS games? If the answer is YES, we highly recommend you try Xonotic!

Xonotic is a free and open-source first-person shooter video game. It was developed as a fork of Nexuiz, following controversy surrounding the game's development. The game runs on a heavily modified version of the Quake engine known as DarkPlaces engine. Gameplay is inspired by Unreal Tournament and Quake, but with various unique elements

Nexuix

Nexuiz is an FPS game initially developed by Alientrap and released under a GNU GPL license. Some of our MoN members have contributed or been involved as core team members on project Nexuiz.

Nexuiz is a free first-person shooter video game developed and published by Alientrap. The game and its media are released under the GNU General Public License (GPL) and uses the DarkPlaces engine, a significantly modified Quake engine. A remake, also called Nexuiz, has been released for Steam and Xbox 360 using CryEngine 3. The original game was released on May 31, 2005.
